For those few Xbox owners who haven't sampled Ubisoft's Tom Clancy games, this holiday season will offer one hell of a stocking stuffer. The publisher announced today that three of its most acclaimed Tom Clancy games for the console will be available as a single three-disc set "in time for the holiday season" for just $39.99.
Inventively called Tom Clancy's Classic Trilogy, the set will include the full versions of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, the graphically groundbreaking game that helped popularize the stealth-action genre; Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, the popular special-forces action game; and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3, the counterterrorist first-person shooter, which remains the most popular game on Xbox Live and spawned a quasi-sequel, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow.
