Sega has announced that its latest ninja-action game for the PlayStation 2, Nightshade, has shipped to stores. The game is an extension of the long-running Shinobi series, but instead of playing as a male ninja, Nightshade casts the player as a female assassin named Hibana.
One of the game's most interesting features is "Easy" mode, in recognition of the fact that its predecessor, Shinobi, was such a difficult game. Other new features include a kick button, aerial combat, and dual short swords for more stylish action and flexibility with combo maneuvers.
