The New York Comic-Con is a sight to behold: comics, games, and all sorts of nerdy merchandise clobber the senses at every possible angle. It's a show that just can't be done justice in words (but by all means, please read our write-ups from the past couple days!). No, you need to see this thing to believe it. And so I give you... New York Comic-Con in pictures!

The outside view of the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan's West Side, where the show was held.

An ad for Prototype roughly the size of a Manhattan skyscraper.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Square brought plenty of merchandise to sell, but no games to see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Codemasters booth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bit Trip Beat at the Aksys booth. This was our unofficial game of the show. How much did video producer Tyler Winegarner love it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Champions Online may or may not feature miniature Princess Leias.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The South Peak booth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The EA booth. We weren't allowed to take video or pictures of Battlefield, so pretend that's not there!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

People love Warhammer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the absence of the new Turtles game, there was this relic from the past.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sega had a strong showing this year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unsurprisingly, the Comic-Con crowd ate up Ghostbusters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what this chair was, but FEAR 2 looked awesome nonetheless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who watches the guy making chalk murals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An entire army of Pac-Men!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I imagine this is what Mario would look like if he was made of wax and left in the sun.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was excited to cover the Penny Arcade panel, but sadly I arrived late.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And finally, here's a picture of a Storm Trooper eating lunch. Just because.
