Microsoft announced today that the third and final map pack for Halo 4 will launch April 8. Developed by Certain Affinity, the Castle expansion adds three new maps and a six-vs.-six playlist to 343 Industries' well-received sci-fi shooter.
The new maps within the Castle expansion are Daybreak, Outcast, and Perdition. The content will be available as a free download for those who hold a $25 Halo 4 War Games Map Pass or as an individual download for $10.
The new six-vs.-six playlist is called "Castle DLC" and will focus on team play and coordinated objective gameplay, according to Microsoft. Nine new achievements worth a total of 250 Gamerscore are up for grabs with the Castle map pack.
Previously released Halo 4 downloadable content includes the Crimson (December) and Majestic (February) map packs. For more on Halo 4, check out GameSpot's review.
