France honors game creators

French site Gamekult is reporting that a trio of game developers are set to be named as knights in France's Order of Arts and Letters on April 13. At the ceremony, Culture Minister Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres will bestow the award upon Michel Ancel (Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie, Beyond Good & Evil), Frederick Raynal (Alone in the Dark, Fade to Black), and Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario, Zelda). They will join previous recipients of the honor, including James Joyce, Jackson Pollock, and Bruce Willis.
