Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem" is a landmark game for us as it is our first game within the Nintendo family. It is the first of many collaborations to come! Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem continues our focus on detailed storyline, sophisticated artistry, advanced technology, complex sound design and enthralling gameplay. Its progressive, mature storyline provides a dark backdrop for a dark world teetering on the edge of ruin. A brave young woman, Alexandra Roivas, is thrust into a battle for survival. The story is historically based and features many significant real world events and locations: the blood soaked fields of the Somme, the jungle-ridden temples of Angkor Wat, the deserts of Persia, and the haunted vales of Rhode Island are only a few of the areas you will explore in Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. The evil that is the Eternal Darkness permeates every part of our world!
During its development cycle, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem saw a lot of changes. It started life as a horror adventure game on the Nintendo 64, and was subsequently completely redesigned for the Nintendo GameCube. With Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem we explored a new genre called the psychological thriller with its emphasis on insanity and changes of perception, bringing the living fear and madness of its universe to the gamer.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem was extremely well received by gamers and press alike, garnering many industry nominations and several awards.
