AU Shippin' Out January 28 - February 1: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Fall into the enchanting world of fantasy role-playing games with Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch this week from Professor Layton developer Level-5 in collaboration with Studio Ghibli, the production house behind well-received Hayao Miyazaki films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Howl's Moving Castle. The animation studio's part in this project includes character designs and animation, with music from composer Joe Hisaishi.

Level-5 is known for its work on the Dragon Quest series, and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch sticks close to the studio's specialty of role-playing games.

The story follows Oliver, a young boy on a quest to become a master magician in an effort to return his dead mother from a parallel world called Ni no Kuni. The game was praised for its imaginative scenarios, funny dialogue, and orchestral soundtrack in GameSpot's review.

Exclusive to the PlayStation 3, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be released January 31.

Other games out this week include Skulls of the Shogun on Xbox Live Arcade and Ace Combat Assault Horizon: Enhanced Edition on the PC, which was delayed from its intended release last week. For more details, check out the full list of new releases below.
